World, meet my favorite farm craft... the scarecrow. This craft was so much fun, and it made me so happy to see our Toddler Teacher come to work carrying a huge stack of rice husks. It's like the doll of my Little-House-On-The-Prairie-childhood-dreams.
For some reason, almost all of our photos from Farm week are of either craft time or free art time. We had plenty of other things going on, just no proof by way of pictures. Art overload... sorry.
Craft number two was a pig mask. Slightly culturally insensitive, but it wan' t a real pig, so no harm done.
And from the teacher who always comes up with fluffy, cute things to make... a cotton ball sheep. Adorable.
This one's got glasses... even sweeter!
Most of these munchkins have a long way to go to get their motor skills ready for kindergarden, hence the extensive art... crayon, marker, brush, fingers... we've got it covered.
And then there is my son who uses the brush ON his fingers. Whatever.
We tried out this new number game. The kids fish for a number and then tell us what it is. It was a great success.
I think though, the most fun they had this was was not related to Farms at all. During playdough time, someone made a super-hero mask and it went viral. Guess what the only thing they want to make during playdough time is?
Check back in a little bit to see "G is for Garden".
