I think it's safe to say that we are getting into the swing of things around here. Sure, the toddlers still do pretty much whatever they want for most of the day, but we have moment of structured bliss wherein they sit still or sing a song or recognize a letter shaped from playdough.
Today the girls were really into these shape links. They adorned themselves, and most of the teachers, with neon necklaces.
The day wouldn't have been complete without catching magnetic fish...
And climbing through the tires...
And making birthday cakes from playdough.
The Preschoolers are getting really good at recognizing, writing and sounding out the letter A.
Our mid-learning wiggle time consisted of a beanbag toss. So fun!
Returning to the classroom, we went through the phonics song (from the Sing, Spell, Read and Write Curriculum). They don't quite have down it just yet, but they're getting there.
By 11:30 it was too close to nap/lunch time for anyone to concentrate anymore, so we let them loose on the playground. Here's proof that these two weren't being totally truthful when we kept asking, "are you dizzy yet?"
It's Saturday now and we have lots of prep work to do for next week. We are moving on from A=Alligator and jumping right into B=Bugs.
I can't wait!
