The second day of school went much smoother than the first. The toys had all been touched already and lost a tiny bit of their irresistible allure. The teachers had all bean tested and proved unwilling to bend the rules. Today, everyone came on time and participated much more willingly than yesterday.
Craft time was great fun and yielded a product the kids were proud of.
Making anything more attractive than just being free to play outside is proving to be a challenge. The weather is great, the playground is awesome, and we want them to sit down and learn phonics? It does sound pretty crazy, really.
What is it about kids and loving to be dizzy?
The stack of old tires is working it's way up into a competition for favorite with the sandbox.
The kids loved Quiet Play as much as they loved playing outside. We just might survive the coming rainy season!
Looking forward to tomorrow.
Here's to hoping the old saying is true... Third Time's A Charm.
